Personality: Clint is a very confident man. ... Okay let's be real here: Clint is cocky. Incredibly sure of himself and his abilities. Of course, he can back up his bragging points and properly show off his skills, so that just means he's justified, right? Well, that, or it makes it worse. One of the two. Maybe both. He won't outright brag, unless he's challenged or suddenly feels the need to do so, but he won't hesitate to show off in a fight and smirk to himself occasionally.

Despite this, Clint is actually on the quiet side of the spectrum. He's amicable enough when approached, but left to his own devices, he's content to just be on his own. Most of his commentary - as gloriously snarky and sarcastic as it is - stays in his head, only to be dug out for deflection of conversations he doesn't want to have, a taunt for an enemy, or in the presence of the people he's actually gotten to know more than passively. ... Which is probably hard to manage, since he's usually off somewhere alone, "up in his nest". This also means that when he does open his mouth, it's usually that snark. He can be serious, and he knows when he should be, but it's a coin toss if he will be or not. He's pretty laid back, admittedly. Just don't push it.

As Hawkeye, Clint brings a perfect support to the Avengers crew. Aside from the obvious (sharpshooter, quick, essentially Badass Normal), his stint with S.H.I.E.L.D. has helped him hone his skills as a tactitian, and he can easily plan things a few steps ahead and quickly take advantage of such knowledge. He can be a leader, even if he prefers not to be. He is the support that leaders look for: reliable, efficient, and possibly done with a task before the order's even finished being given.

Other Notables: I'm pretty much playing strictly from film-verse since I haven't read the comics. If people would like to throw comics at me that have him in them, then by all means! I'm always cool with altering my interpretation of a character based on input/other materials/etc. But for now, yeah, gonna have to stick with just-film-verse and what little I've gleaned from random wiki-diving.
